Listen up, you web-heads! Just when I thought we'd seen the last of these wall-crawling menaces, Hasbro decides to unleash another spider-themed action figure on us.
 
As if one wasn't enough! This time, it's some pint-sized sidekick called "Spider-Boy." Pfft. Because that's exactly what we need - a mini-me version of that masked menace Spider-Man.
 
Now, I'm told this 6-inch figure is part of their "Marvel Legends" line. Legends, they say! The only legend I see is how they keep convincing people to buy this stuff. But I'll give credit where it's due - reluctantly.
 
The detailing on this thing is... not terrible. It's got those poseable arms and legs, and even comes with extra hands and an alternate head. Because one wasn't enough, apparently. They're claiming this "Bailey Briggs" character was "erased from the Web of Life" or some such nonsense. Sounds like a convenient excuse for why we've never heard of him before, if you ask me.
 
But what do I know? I'm just a newspaper man, not some comic book expert. I hate to admit it, but for you collectors out there (sigh), this might actually be worth picking up. It's got that "premium design" they're always yapping about, and it'll probably look... fine... on a shelf next to your other spandex-clad figurines. Just don't come crying to me when your house is overrun with plastic spider-people.
 
And for Pete's sake, keep it away from any radioactive arachnids! Want to waste your hard-earned money on more spider-themed trinkets? Jameson out.
