 Jawas: The Mysterious Desert Scavengers
Background
Jawas are a diminutive, hooded species native to the desert planet of Tatooine. Shrouded in their distinctive brown robes, Jawas are known for their scavenging and trading activities, combing the vast deserts in search of discarded or abandoned technology and machinery.
Appearance and Equipment
Jawas stand approximately 1 meter tall, with glowing yellow eyes visible beneath their cowled robes. Their hands are covered by fingerless gloves, and they often carry a specialized gaffi stick, which they use for both self-defense and to pry apart scavenged items. Jawas are also known to operate large, repurposed sandcrawler vehicles to transport their collected goods.
Roles and Abilities
As skilled scavengers, Jawas possess a keen eye for valuable technology and the ability to quickly dismantle and repair various mechanical devices. They are often seen trading their scavenged goods with moisture farmers, Tusken Raiders, and other inhabitants of Tatooine. Jawas are also known to capture and sell droids, which they then modify and resell.
